October 14th, 2008 Ormond Beach and Palm Coast Fishing Reports
The fishing on the Mosquito Lagoon has been improving. As long as the winds lay down a bit sight fishing should be back in action the rest of this week. Red fish and trout are moving all over the place. Live mullet tend to be the best option. D.O.A. CALS and 1/4 oz. shrimp will work in several of their colors. Fish these fish as always with caution and stealth. Fly fishing on the Mosquito Lagoon as always is a year around event. Use a 7 weight fly rod with a number 4 fly in a shrimp pattern for great action. Crab and mullet patterns this time of year will be a great choice too. Fly fishing Cocoa Beach is doing well too. Ormond Beach fishing and Palm Coast fishing reports have been outstanding. The Tomoka basin is producing some good numbers of redfish and trout in the area. Use the same baits as on the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. Florida Inshore Fishing Charters Site Map Captain Drew Cavanaugh |
