With summer time comes heat. With this in mind I like to get my days started early and finish around a decent time. Fish are like all of us. In the heat of the day they tend to relax and lay low. Try fishing the docks and bars for trout and snook a couple of hours before daylight. When the sun begins to raise her head, switch to the flats for some redfish action. The reds have been hitting mullet or sight casting a live shrimp to them. If you have access to pigfish and they are of decent size these baits will bring trout to the boat. Light tackle fishing in the summer can be fun. So make the most out of it. It is a great time for you to get out there with your family and friends and enjoy the wonders of nature.
