October 23rd, 2007 Orlando Florida Saltwater Fishing Reports The Mosquito Lagoon has been producing good numbers of red fish and trout. The mullet run is in full force and live mullet being thrown out will work great. Fly fishing the Mosquito Lagoon with a mullet pattern fly this time of year is your best bet. Sight fishing the back country waters of the Indian River is at its prime. Fish along creek mouths and banks early for nice red fish. Stop well ahead of the area you want to fish and work your way in there. Patience is always the key to fishing out here. Try using top waters early too for large trout. Work them in a wounded pattern. As the day progresses switch to soft baits. One of my favorites is the... D.O.A. White Nite Glow with a slow retrieve. Letting the bait drop to the bottom...This is always a great way to pick up a flounder or two. Florida Inshore Fishing Charters Site Map Captain Drew Cavanaugh |
