November 27th, 2007 Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Fishing Reports
Today was one of those days that you should have stayed home... However I am very glad we did not. It turned out to be an epic day. The weather started of bad on the Mosquito Lagoon but turned out to be very nice. The fish were all in the upper slot range with a few red fish and trout well over slot. Red fish(red drum) and trout were caught through out the day on the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. As through out the winter and even the whole year here the fly fishing is epic! Remember, early bird gets to the good spots first, so there for gets the big red fish! Be sure the fishing guide you hire for the area fishes there year round and your experience level will be elevated. Too many guides on the Mosquito Lagoon fish here part time and fish other places throughout the year. This effects your trip here. Would you hire a doctor who practices medicine part time? The best way to find out your potential fishing guides qualifications is to ask them. Florida Inshore Fishing Charters Site Map Captain Drew Cavanaugh |
